Bob Brenly is a former professional baseball player and current baseball analyst and broadcaster. He was born on February 25, 1954 in Coshocton, Ohio. Brenly played as a catcher for the San Francisco Giants from 1981 to 1988 and for the Toronto Blue Jays in 1989.
After retiring from playing, Brenly became a baseball manager, leading the Arizona Diamondbacks to a World Series championship in 2001. He also worked as a color commentator for the Arizona Diamondbacks television broadcasts before moving on to work as an analyst for Fox Sports and the Chicago Cubs.
Brenly is known for his insightful commentary, sharp wit, and candid opinions on the game of baseball. He has received several awards for his broadcasting work, including three Emmy Awards. Throughout his career, Brenly has been highly respected for his knowledge of the game and his engaging on-air presence.
